Enhancing Cardiorespiratory Care

Thanks to funding provided by the Sobey Foundation, St. Martha's Regional Hospital has not only been able to improve patient care by providing services that were not offered just 12 months ago, they have enhanced the quality of care and have allowed residents in the Quad counties to receive care closer to their home.

MINIMALLY INVASIVE SURGERY (MIS) SUITE UPGRADES

At St. Martha’s, we’ve always had a great minimally invasive surgery (MIS) suite, thanks to previous investments from the Foundation. Thanks to a recent financial commitment from both the Nova Scotia Health and the St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation we were able to provide significant upgrades to the Suite.

NEW SIMULATION MANNEQUINS SUPPORT LEARNING

In April 2020, the Foundation was ready to help support staff and physicians as they prepared and trained to fight COVID-19. In an effort to support ongoing training and education at St. Martha’s, the Foundation purchased two new high-fidelity humanoid mannequins.
