Parking Lot Fund

Did you know…

Every time you put money in a parking metre or pay your $2 parking fee at St. Martha’s Regional Hospital, your money stays in your community and supports the purchase of hospital equipment for St. Martha’s. We are so grateful to have these funds and hope it continues!

In 2014 the former District Health Authority entered in a 10-year agreement with the St. Martha’s Regional Hospital Foundation to ensure the net proceeds from the parking lot would stay local and support the purchase of hospital equipment at St. Martha's.

The Foundation has since been very diligent in ensuring we are able to provide the hospital with the equipment it needs with this parking lot fund.

The parking lot fees invest an average of $200,000 per year
in new hospital equipment!

From 2018 to 2022 the Parking Lot Fund provided $1.8 million which was used for education, retention & recruitment, specialized equipment, patient care & safety and overall hospital enhancements!

All of this funding has stayed in our community!
